I have a friend who did an amazing thing — she got over 100 devices to people dying of COVID in her hospital. She’s an ER doctor at Bellevue hospital here in NYC and seeing people in the COVID wards, she noticed people were alone in the ICU and wanted to do something for them. She called out to her friends on Facebook and asked for donations of devices (tablets, phones, etc) so that these patients could see their loved ones. She ended up procuring 150 devices in ONE WEEK to give to underprivileged isolated patients. Then it continued to snowball and she was so successful that she had extras to give to other area hospitals. I am so proud of her—she is an AMAZING person!
